Spread on two-floors, the condominium is currently utilized/furnished as a one-bedroom (11ft 10in x 15ft 4in)with large walk-in closet (8ft 1in x 6ft 3in), two dressers, remote-controlled blackout shades covering three southern-exposed windows, and ensuite bathroom; an office (11ft 1 in x 7ft 2in) -- also south-facing with two windows -- includes desk, shelved closet, large sliding door cabinet; and a den/sitting room (two windows north-facing) with book shelves, love seat (sleep sofa), closet, and television.

Downstairs offers a large living room with two sofas and two chairs, glass coffee table, custom built-in bookshelves and fireplace mantle, and soap-stone bar. In the dining room, there is a sizable wooden table with four chairs plus a hutch for supplies (included). Through two French doors is the kitchen and has everything a cooking enthusiast would want: Cuisinart, KitchenAid, induction stove with compatible pots and pans, dishwasher, disposal, toaster, panini maker, microwave, baking tins and sheets, and lots of cabinet space. Continuing, there is a half bath and storage beneath the stairs that includes a large washer and dryer.

What makes the rental truly exceptional is the large terrace (with remote-controlled retractable awning) off the living room’s two sliding doors. The terrace is complemented with a table and four wrought iron chairs, flowerpots, a Japanese maple, and storage bin for cushions and gardening equipment/supplies. The front of the house also has a small garden and sitting area.

One parking space is included with the rental, though many services are within walking distance (a second spot is negotiable for an additional fee).

Beekman residents have a wonderfully diverse cultural and professional background working for embassies, international economic institutions, federal agencies, humanitarian organizations, and non-profits. The community is gay-, pet-, and family-friendly.

The bed fits a queen-sized mattress (new, included with linens and blankets).

Owner will consider reconfiguring or removing bedroom, office and den furniture on request (only after an application has been submitted).

In addition to bedroom closets (x3) there is a hallway closet in the entrance.

Ensuite bathroom has a walk-in shower; hallway bathroom includes a shower/tub combo.

Trash and recycling are collected in front of the unit three times a week.

Rental does not include a television in the bedroom, but the owner is willing to install one on request.

One year lease minimum. No smoking indoors.
